... and a shit-load more to go...

A month ago, I decided that I've gone too far. I decided then that I would clean up my room as soon as my exams were over, but instead of doing those put-things-in-other-places kind of clean-ups, I'd do a get-rid-of-everything-and-anything ones. My exams ended on Tuesday. It's Thursday now and there's no sign of this thing ending. I think my estimation of being able to finish this in a week was much too optimistic...

So far I've:
- Gone through all my clothes and got rid of 10 year old socks (I haven't worn them in six years), a few 7 year old t-shirts, a couple t-shirts that may be older than I am, my Hello Kitty windbreaker and vest and more... My drawers are thanking me - they're half empty now.
- Gone through all my old class notes and filed them. Before, I'd tie up the notes of a class I've finished and toss them into a container. THIS time, I've gone through EVERY course I've taken since grade 11 (and I'm in my fifth year of undergrad...), taken out any useless bits and now am left with pure notes and exams. Yeah, so I haven't looked at my Travel and Tourism notes since grade 11, but baby steps... baby steps...
- Cleaned up my "vanity" table (which is actually the top of one of aforementioned dressers). THAT's the corner that I'm talking about in my title. It still looks a bit cluttered, but it's oh-so-very neat, compared to what it was.

I still need to:
- Take everything from my two desks and split the stuff into two piles: throw away/recycle and keep
- Take all the "keep" stuff and organize into documents, trinkets and stuff-that-SHOULD-be-on-my-desks
- Organize those documents
- Look at the trinkets and throw away some of them
- Clean out my "cabinet" and sort out the trinkets and documents in there
- Take a good look at my bookcase and move around the book and possibly *gulps* throw/give away some of them.
- Go through all my "arts and craft"-y stuff and decide what to keep, what to donate to the elementry school art room I work in and what to throw away. (This'll probably be heart-breaking since I had inherited a lot of that stuff from my grandmother when she passed away 4-and-a-half years ago, but enough is enough. If I haven't touched it since I got it, I"m not going to and it's just gonna pile up)
- Go through those old clothes and split into donate/give away and throw away

... and hopefully I'll be done.

Oh yeah, I still have that lab report to write, don't I...

That cold I've been suffering of for the past month? Not a cold. At least, not after that first week.

They're allergies. Don't know if it's because of ragweed or because of kitty. It's quite possible that it's both, with a bit of ferret allergy in there as well, for all I know.

Turns out the allergies where why I was so damn tired as well.

Now have nose spray. None of the pills work for me, so I have to sniff up my medicine.

I really hope it's not a cat allergy.

Darling, you do all these cute-sy things and it's not hard to love you. Mummy loves you and she normally hates cats.

But do you really deem it necessary to make sure I don't sleep past 10 in the morning? Even on weekends?

And do you have to copy that yappy dog next door? Danny says that your brothers are normal cats. They yowled nice long yowls, the last time he saw one of them. Cats DON'T yip. They don't bark. You do have a really nice purr, though it's really only nice when I'm wide awake. Not when I'm trying to sleep in.

Still love you (most of the time),

Me

I doubt anyone would be interested but here's an update.

Turns out that I don't have hyperthyroidism. Turns out I probably had a virus or some autoimmune problem that caused my brain to throw out all its TSH. I have normal thyroid hormone levels and other than a couple patches of thyroid gland that are denser than the others, my thyroid's perfectly normal. Thank heavens. I won't have to take pills for who knows how long for that. I do, however, have to take pills for my calcium deficiency. Just normal vitamin/mineral pills. Now, if I could only remember to take them...

I've quit one of my tutoring jobs. Now I have 7 more hours each week to spend on whatever I want (or need) to do. So happy... so very happy.

I found a copy of this old old game I used to play. Princess Maker 3 is a simple enough game to play and most will say that it's quite childish too, but it's SO HARD to 'win' the game (i.e. become a princess) This time around, I've been able to get a bar hostess, a maid, revert back to a faery, become a queen (one that rules, not one that hangs off a king's arm), a concubine, some kind of government worker, some kind of scholar, some kind of warrior, a musician/composer, a vagabond, and the person who runs the 'household' of the palace. I was, through cheats, able to make a cat princess, a princess of the southern lands and a visier (of sorts), but no human princess. Well, I'll see what I'll get next.

Everything's set up and now I'm doing everything that I planned I'd do this year.

Three classes, only one of which is a science course (can you see the tears of joy running down my face?), volunteering at my old high school with my old chem teacher, working at the elementary school I worked at last year and volunteering with my old project course supervisor... It took a while to get this all set up, but now everything should go smoothly. At least, they should theoretically.

Of course, considering the fact that I haven't been doing so well health wise even with just the high school volunteering and the classes, I'm afraid of what'll happen with all that on my plate. I already have a cold that's lasted the past four days. FOUR days. My colds NEVER linger this long. And when they do linger, it's just an occasional sniffle or sneeze. NOTHING like this.

Well, I should get to bed. I have to get up somewhat early-ish to work tomorrow... At least I'm not contageous now...

I've had an iron deficiency (which might be gone now, considering my doctor hasn't said anything about it).

I have high cholesterol, which is a problem most of the females in my mum's side of the family have.

I haven't had an actual one yet, but it looks like I'll start having migraines soon and frequently.

My calcium intake is so low that my bones are breaking up.

I supposedly have hyperthyroidism (which doesn't make sense, considering if have practically none of the typical symptoms).

I have flat feet.

I still have high blood pressure and heart problems to look forward to.

I'm 22 years old. For goodness sake, I shouldn't have half those problems at this age.

I knew I was a bit geeky and a bit nerdy. I never thought it was this bad though.

I got an e-mail for a course that I'm going to be taking this fall. It's Fantasy and Horror.

I took a look at the book list. Out of the 6 books that I need, I own and have read two of them and I have also read three books by the same author of another (though, unfortunately, not the one that I will need to read).

The day after I find out the required readings, I rush out to the World's Biggest Book Store and get the books that I can. (I can get a small membership discount there. Can't at the university's bookstore) I am somewhat disappointed when I find out the only copy of one of those books is put on hold right before I get to the book store.

I find out that the topic for the first essay assignment is up. I read it and am excited about the topics. I start debating which I want to write.

...What am I to do?
